6,572 miles away from home

I finally have the time to blog, and I am finally.... A COLLEGE STUDENT! Wow. After months of leaving school, i'm back to studying. *cries unconditionally. I am currently studying in Brighton, United Kingdom. I LOVE BRIGHTON, I LOVE THE BEACH.. (main reason why i chose to study here). The people here are so friendly, encountered so many lovely people ever since I got here. I think i might actually survive on my own in this city. I hope. Gosh, but I honestly can't believe that i'm actually here. As much as I love it here, I want to go home to my family, cats and friends. First time being far from home, that home-sick feeling really sucks.. but hey, not everyone gets the chance to study abroad.. so I have to appreciate the opportunity given and strive for excellence. People keep telling me that i'll be alright, because i'm a very independent person, little do they know.. I can easily turn into a mess not having my mama and papa around. *anak manja alert! I recently just cried over the phone to my friend, haha.. haha.. ha.. it's okay dear self, it'll be alright, I promise.

Last week was the orientation week. You have no idea how nervous I was, especially being a muslim who wears the tudung.. get it.. ya. Knowing me, an introvert.. who's shy when it comes to being surrounded with new people and starting conversations, surprise surprise, Alhamdulillah, everything turned out well, !!made new friends!! from different countries and backgrounds, and they are all very lovely. You see, one of the best parts about studying abroad is that you'll get to meet a lot of people from different parts of the world, and you'll even get to learn their language or get to know about their culture, pretty much everything you need to know about a country. Bonus ok!

--------

I was supposed to blog about what I did with the remaining days I had left in Malaysia before I left.. but I was so occupied with so many things, especially getting my stuff ready for the UK. So I shall share few of what I did right now;

1. short road-trip/beach getaway to Port Dickson

- it was a last minute-ish decision to go to pd, as we were supposed to go to Pahang.. but you know what they say, unplanned plans are always the best. we played with sand (buried haikal alive), and we even went on the banana boat! so much fun although it hurts a lot lmao. we had seafood tom yam for dinner, tummy was really happy.

2. tadom hill!

- i had an amazing time at tadom with these crackheads, i think we were the noisiest group there.. we just couldn't stop screaming here and there. it was my last weekend in KL, so we decided to go for our last trip together (*cries). I'd rate tadom hill a 6/10.. the place was okay, but with great friends, everything felt just right.

3. farewell dinner.

- my lovely friends here planned this one for me.. i was so touched to the point that i teared up. eh! where did they learn to be so sweet?? oh sorry ok ok.. i will only compliment, don't worry. they are all amazing, my life would totally be dull without them entertaining me every single day. not sure if i've properly thanked each and every one of you.. but here's me telling you guys how much i love and appreciate all of you. thank you for the great moments we've had together, the bad ones too. sucks not having any of you around here.

wait for me till i get back ok ala sekejap je kan!! mwah

4. brunch with primary best friends.

- a day before i left, me and my best friends from primary school went out to grab a bite together. u have no idea how hard it is to have all of them in one place, they're all so busy with their studies. but thanks for making time for me *much love :p

been together for 11/12 years now, and there's never a dull moment with these girls. here's to more years together. wo ai ni men!

11/09/16: Departure day.

- thanks for sending me off. i'll see you guys soon.

May Allah ease the start of this new chapter of my life. p/s I love my my family very much I don't want to post pictures of them because it'll make me more sad.

Au revoir! x
